Job description:
The Clark County Health Department is seeking to hire a full-time (37.5-hour week) Environmental Health Sanitarian. The selected candidate’s responsibilities will be but not limited to performing inspections of food establishments, conducting nuisance complaints inspections, performing inspections septic systems, private water supply systems, vector control, Smoke Free IL enforcement, and investigating environmental health aspects of communicable disease outbreaks.
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in environmental health or a closely related field with a minimum of 30 semester hours in physical or biological science. The right candidate would be licensed as an Environmental Health Practitioner in Illinois or obtain their license within 16 months of being hired.
This position requires a valid driver’s license.
